Sept 22, 2016: The City of Tshwane is looking at the possibility of turning the Wonderboom airport into a full logistics airport to assist in creating job opportunities in the city, said mayor SollyMsimanga. According to news reports, this could create an opportunity to investors who want to come in and invest money in a place where they can get their goods in and out very quickly. Msimanga said the move would also prove beneficial for the economy of the city as that would attract investors. He said once the city gets industrialised, the airport would act as a catalyst for these plans.
