CMA CGM declares GRR for India & Middle East Gulf - West Africa trade

Dec 16, 2016: Leading container shipping company CMA CGM has announced General Rate Restoration program for all cargo shipped from India and Middle East Gulf to West Africa.

New rate applied to all cargo including dry, reefer, out of gauge and breakbulk will be effective as from January 15, 2017.

On India and Middle East Gulf-West Africa service, the GRR has been set at $500 per unit.

Marseille-headquartered CMA CGM was founded in 1978 by Jacques R. Saadé. Today the French company has become the world’s third largest container shipping group and number one in France operating across the world’s oceans.

It is also one of the first global shipping operators to have control over the whole logistics chain offering a door-to-door service that integrates both inland waterway transport (River Shuttle Containers) and railways (CMA Rail), as well as port handling facilities and logistics on land.
