Oct 26, 2016: Air India plans to launch new flights to Washington D.C. (USA), Tel Aviv (Israel), Stockholm (Sweden) and Africa. The Indian government-owned carrier is yet to announce the time for launching the new flights.

According to Ashwani Lohani, Chairman and Managing Director, Air India, the airline will receive 6 Boeing 787 aircraft in 2017 and three Boeing 777 the following year. He was speaking at the re-launch of a new app which will allow passengers to book, check-in and manage every aspect of their journey from their mobile devices. Air India is yet to come out with a time schedule as to when the flights will be launched.
