Sept 02, 2016: Claire Phillips, who worked for the Virgin Atlantic Cargo for five years, would be the new Regional Sales Manager of the airline for continental Europe.

Claire was initially a Route Development Manager and Capacity Controller and, prior to this promotion, she played an integral role in the training and development of our customer service team.

In her new role, she will be responsible for revenue and budget attainment in Continental Europe, a region generating some 15% of Virgin Atlantic’s annual cargo revenue.

Claire will work closely with Virgin Atlantic Cargo’s customers in the region and will also be the direct contact for the airline’s 17 GSA partners in Continental Europe.

“The knowledge and experience Claire has gained from her previous posts within Virgin Atlantic Cargo will enable her to quickly establish herself in her new role and further develop our sales strategies across Europe. This is an extremely important and growing region in our global network and enables customers across Continental Europe to access the Virgin Atlantic network from over 60 receiving points,” said Ryan Ellis, Virgin Atlantic’s Head of GSA Territory Management.

Commenting on her new role, Claire said, “We have an extensive coverage of Continental Europe. It’s only when customers start to book cargo with Virgin Atlantic that they realise the wide choice of access points we offer into our international network to major cities across the U.S. as well as to Hong Kong and China, Dubai, South Africa, Nigeria and Australia. I look forward to supporting our customers and GSA partners in the region and to identifying new opportunities and countries where we can achieve further growth.”
