Aug 03, 2016: Project cargo specialist Paragon Saudi Services has completed transportation of 14 cable drums from Riyadh to Ras Al-Khair in Saudi Arabia.

The project team from Paragon relied on a fleet of low-bed trailers to move the cargo and handled all loading at the pick-up site, royal commission permits and other necessary permits, offloading at the delivery site and insurance.

The firm is a member of the Project Cargo Network, or PCN, a global network comprising 228 specialist members and employing 16,756 staff in 101 countries.

The network recently added a new member in Malawi with the addition of breakbulk company Land-Air Cargo Services. LACS operates in Malawi’s clearing and forwarding industry offering project cargo, heavy-lift, logistics, clearing and freight forwarding services.

PCN reported a successful collaboration for fellow Malawian member Globo Distribuidora which recently handled an abnormal load of earth moving machines on behalf of Express Global Logistics (EXG) in India.

The machines were transported on flat-rack containers from Matadi in the Democratic Republic of the Congo to Beira in Mozambique where they were discharged to low-bed trailers.
