Tunisair renews its rolling stock fleet

Mar 1, 2017: Tunisair is renewing its fleet of rolling stock, “as part of its new commercial policy aimed at promoting its freight activity and inorder to best meet its customers’ expectations in terms of quality of service provided, security and safety,” the national carrier said in a media statement.

Till date, three tracmas and 20 luggage trailers have just been received and will be followed by the end of April by 20 pallet dollies and two electric forklifts.

Tunisair’s additional investment program for 2017 also includes the reception of four additional tractors and four lifts, as well as a volume and weight detection device.

Since March 2016, Tunisair has been equipped with a new high-tech scanner for advanced X-ray cargo inspection for air cargo pallets.

This equipment, certified by the Civil Aviation Technical Service (STAC) of the General Directorate of French Civil Aviation, makes it possible to reinforce the safety and security of freight shipments to all the destinations served by Tunisair and those of the all foreign companies assisted by Tunisair, to comply with national, international and European standards and to ensure an optimal system of inspection and control.
