AIR ONE International Holdings has set up AIR ONE Technics at the MBR Aerospace Hub in Dubai South to enhance line maintenance and airworthiness services for its fleet, marking another development that Africa’s aviation community continues to watch closely as the region deepens its links with Middle Eastern aviation hubs.

The UAE-based company will support AIR ONE’s technical operations within the United Arab Emirates. Located at the MBR Aerospace Hub, the new entity aims to reinforce operational reliability and safety for the group’s aircraft.

AIR ONE Technics is led by Chief Executive Officer Ayrat Gilmutdinov, an aviation leader with extensive strategic and operational experience. He brings a strong focus on innovation, process optimisation, and data-driven decision-making. Alex John has joined as Director of Supply Chain & Logistics, adding more than 35 years of experience in aviation materials and logistics management with major Middle Eastern carriers, and a strong track record in developing efficient and compliant supply chain systems.

Gilmutdinov said the company was created to uphold AIR ONE’s values of safety, quality, and operational reliability in all customer-facing operations.

AIR ONE Technics forms part of AIR ONE International Holdings, a global aviation group involved in aircraft operations, commercial management, and technical support across key international markets.

Tahnoon Saif, CEO of the Mohammed bin Rashid Aerospace Hub, said the launch reflects Dubai South’s attractiveness for specialised aviation investments and its commitment to supporting companies with advanced capabilities to help build a sustainable and future-ready aviation sector in the UAE.
