Aero Africa launched its inaugural weekly scheduled freighter service from Johannesburg (JNB) to Mauritius (MRU) on October 10. 

The 737F 300 aircraft flew from JNB to MRU with 18 highly pedigreed race horses for the Mauritius Turf Club on a very challenging but very successful night operation, fully compliant with the Air Transport Association (IATA) Live Animal Regulations. The return flight carried commercial cargo.
