Xavier Avrard Appointed CEO of GEODIS Freight Forwarding France and Africa

GEODIS has appointed Xavier Avrard as Chief Executive Officer of its Freight Forwarding operations in France and Africa, effective from 1 April.

Avrard has a long-standing history with GEODIS, having previously led Group Strategy, including mergers and acquisitions and post-merger integration. He brings a deep understanding of the company’s business and strategic priorities. In addition, his expertise in Project Logistics will extend to overseeing GEODIS’ activities across Africa.

The company said it remains committed to strengthening its position in France and delivering greater value to customers by leveraging synergies across its various lines of business.

GEODIS welcomed Avrard to the Freight Forwarding team and wished him every success in his new role.
