Bollore Logistics inaugurates modern warehouse in Ivory Coast

February 28, 2018:  Bolloré Transport & Logistics, one of the leading companies in logistics operations for the export of agricultural raw materials, inaugurated a new modern warehouse in Vridi (Abidjan) in Ivory Coast. The warehouse is of 10,000 m² in total and provides manufacturers with a dedicated storage area of 26,000 m² exclusively for cocoa exports.

Ivory Coast is the world's largest producer of cocoa with around 2 million tonnes per year and produces around 40 percent of the global output. Cocoa accounts for 50 percent of export earnings and 2/3 of direct and indirect jobs in the country. Bollore Transport & Logistics is involved in the country's logistics transformation process and wants to provide answers to the issues of the agricultural sector.

As per a release from the company, in addition to the new warehouse, a state-of-the-art bulk cocoa packing station and two additional weighbridges have been installed to improve the quality of service.

This new equipment will generate significant productivity gains by improving the rates on this cocoa stuffing site, the largest in the world. Our export customers will also benefit from multiple services including transportation, logistics, bean export process management, and Third Party Detention. The dedicated teams are regularly trained to handle the large tonnages in a very tight deadline, and thus meet the growing requirements of this sector.

Bollore Transport & Logistics provides Ivory Coast with infrastructure that meets the country's growth ambitions. With this new 10,000 m2 warehouse, Bollore Transport & Logistics has now 400,000 m² of storage space in Abidjan and San Pedro.
