Bollore Logistics introduces rail service from Mombasa to Uganda

Since the beginning of the epidemic, all of Bolloré Transport and Logistics agencies are working to maintain the continuity of the supply chain and answer to the need of their clients and partners.

May 11, 2020: On May 7, Bollore Transport & Logistics launched a rail service for export cargo from Mombasa, Kenya to Uganda through the Naivasha inland container depot in order to reduce the spread of Covid-19. The first train loaded 64 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs) of cargo.

Recently, the teams of Bollore Transport & Logistics Mali & Hong Kong worked together to deliver 62 tonnes of telecommunications equipment in Bamako.  They deployed several transportation solutions such as flying, driving, and forklift in order to cope with the constraints due to the coronavirus sanitary crisis.  

In another development, Bollore Transport & Logistics Senegal handled a 5,200 tonnes rice vessel for Senegal's Food Security Commissioner. The company thus contributes to the continuity of Senegal's supply of basic necessities.
