June 5, 2019: Lufthansa Cargo Group has reassigned roles for Thomas Sonntag, Carsten Hernig and Gunnar Löhr as part of its rotation policy.

The Group announced reassignments at the management level in keeping with the company's rotation policy for staff development. All changes will be effective July 1.

Sonntag will take over at the helm of Jettainer GmbH, the leading international service partner for outsourced ULD management. He will succeed Carsten Hernig as managing director.

Hernig will assume the role of head of region Latin America and Caribbean at Lufthansa Cargo. He will be based in Sao Paolo and will report directly to Dorothea von Boxberg, board member product and sales, in his new position. The move will see Hernig switching back to the parent company after five-and-a-half years with Jettainer.

Gunnar Löhr, previously head of region Latin America and Caribbean, will assume the role of head of supply management and infrastructure at Lufthansa Cargo. Löhr will thereby return to the company headquarters in Frankfurt.
