Ocean Alliance has been extended to 2027

Jan 21, 2019: Just two years since its launch, Ocean Alliance, the world’s largest operational agreement between shipping companies, has been extended to 2027. The partnership between the CMA CGM Group, COSCO Shipping, Evergreen and Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL), was launched in 2017 for an initial period of five years with an option to extend it for a further five years.

CMA CGM Group’s Rodolphe Saade, chairman and CEO has signed the extension of the Ocean Alliance with the executives of COSCO SHIPPING, Evergreen and OOCL in Hainan, China.

The confirmation of the 10-year duration of this partnership only two years after its launch reflects the trust and high-quality working relationship established between all the partners within Ocean Alliance.

Saade stated, “This new agreement with our Asian partners will enable us to propose to our customers an unrivaled and competitive service offering. It is a milestone in our development strategy. It reinforces the CMA CGM Group in its key position within the industry.”
