Mar 25, 2019: Due to increasing passenger demand between Johannesburg and Lubumbashi in the Democratic Republic of Congo, South African Express (SA Express) has decided to add another return flight in this route.

"The introduction of this additional frequency is in response to high passenger demand on the route. Indeed, the airline is firm en route to achieving commercial sustainability as we accelerate the implementation of our new business strategies," stated Siza Mzimela, interim chief executive of SA Express.

Last year in May, the South African Civil Aviation Authority has grounded the airline due to safety issues. Later in August, flights resumed once again following the issuance of airworthiness certificates for a portion of the airline's fleet.
