Turkish Cargo will start its operations from Istanbul New Airport’s Mega Hub

With the completion of second phase, the capacity will be added to 4 million tonnes per year.

Oct 16, 2018: Turkish Cargo will start its operations from Istanbul New Airport’s Mega Hub from October 29, 2018. With the completion of the new airport, the Mega Hub will be the place that Turkish Cargo will continue its activities, with having an area of 165,000 m2.

Till December 2018, the air cargo brand will continue all of its cargo operations from Istanbul Ataturk Airport with the same standards and quality. After this, all belly hold cargo will be shipped from the Istanbul New Airport and freighters flights will continue to be operated from Istanbul Ataturk Airport.

At the end of Mega Hub’s first phase of construction, 2 million tonnes will be available to handle per year and with the completion of second phase, the capacity will be added to 4 million tonnes per year.

The hub will be the first air cargo terminal which is to be integrated into the operational process of artificial intelligence with support of pallet container handling system PCHS and automated storage and retrieval system (ASRS) systems.
