Turkish Cargo will be offering its services from Istanbul Airport, from March 2. The flag carrier of Turkey will carry out its operations simultaneously on both Istanbul Airport and Ataturk Airport as of March 2, 2019.

Turkish Cargo to commence operations at Istanbul Airport from March 2

Feb 4, 2019: Turkish Cargo will be offering its services from Istanbul Airport, from March 2.

The flag carrier of Turkey will carry out its operations simultaneously on both Istanbul Airport and Ataturk Airport as of March 2, 2019.

A statement from the airline tells us that the transportations to be performed by utilising the cargo capacity on passenger aircraft will be operated from the new Istanbul Airport. The freighter operations will continue to be performed by Ataturk Airport.

The air cargo carrier, which will be carrying out its operations on an area of 165 thousand m2 at Istanbul Airport during the first phase, will have a cargo handling capacity of 4 million tonnes once all phases are completed.

Following the commissioning of the mega Cargo Hub at the new Istanbul Airport, the carrier will be moving all its operations to Istanbul Airport.
