August 07, 2020: West-African airline ASKY signed a multi-year agreement with Sabre Corporation. The agreement will allow ASKY to leverage the global travel technology leader’s passenger service system and its recently-launched Sabre Commercial Platform – the industry’s only intelligent retailing platform.
Recently, International Air Transport Association (IATA) urged the African governments to unblock bottlenecks so that urgently needed financial relief pledged for air transport and tourism reaches the distressed businesses. It is meant to help and implement the International Civil Aviation Organization’s (ICAO) Take-Off guidance to ensure a safe restart to aviation.
Under the new agreement, ASKY will make use of Sabre’s Revenue Optimiser, a real-time revenue management solution.

Lome-based ASKY Airlines commenced operation in 2010 and currently covers 23 destinations in 19 countries across West and Central Africa. A strategic partner of Ethiopian Airlines, ASKY was created by regional institutions, including the ECOWAS Bank for Investment and Development (EBID), West African Development Bank (BOAD) and Ecobank Group.
Currently, it operates a fleet of 1 B737-800, 5 B737-700 and 2 Dash Q-400.
Togolese airspace for domestic and international flights opened on August 1, 2020. ASKY confirmed operations from its hub in Lome to all other regional markets that have also opened up their airspace for international flights.
