May 15, 2017: Agro-industrial company Camellia Plc has decided to rope in Bolloré Logistics Malawi to manage its tea exports. With a footprint in several East African countries, Camellia Plc is one of Malawi's leading tea producers and exporters through its subsidiary Eastern Produce Malawi.

With all their expertise in the management of fragile commodities, Bolloré Logistics Malawi's teams were able to offer a complete logistics offer to Eastern Produce Malawi, from the reception of the commodities in Blantyre to their transfer to the port of Beira, Mozambique and Durban, South Africa; to regional markets and private sales within Malawi.

More than 19,000 tonnes of tea for export from the southern region of Malawi was entrusted to Bolloré Logistics Malawi's teams.

31 Bolloré Logistics Malawi employees, specialized in the storage and transfer of tea, were involved in Eastern Produce's 2016 crop year.

According to reports, more than 4,700 square metre of "Food Grade Certified" warehousing facilities, with a capacity to store approximately 3,000 pallets of tea sacks, were provided to the customer with an additional storage offer of 2,500 square metre in case of seasonal peaks.

These warehouses, secured by a 24-hour alarm and video surveillance system, are equipped with a WMS for optimal management of tea stocks destined for export. A number of value-added logistics services, including batch preparation, labeling service, palletizing and packing on a dedicated platform with a capacity of 30 truckloads per week, was also provided by the Bolloré Logistics Malawi's teams.
