May 03, 2019: In an attempt to revive the commercial side of its business, Etihad Cargo has made three new appointments recently.

Haleema Al Hosani takes over as senior manager, global customer programme and cargo loyalty team, joining from the Abu Dhabi Department of Transport. She has also served on the emirate’s Aviation Sector Development Committee and International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) air transport regulatory panel.

Bader Ahmed Al Ali has been named as senior manager for commercial in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) market. He joined the carrier in 2010, having worked in financial services, and has since held several roles, most recently manager for government key accounts and charters.

Raya Mohamed Ibrahim will take on responsibility for key accounts in the UAE.

Our global customer programme, our loyalty scheme and our UAE home market has all been key catalysts for this growth. Today’s key appointments are a further signal of our commitment to better serve these segments while developing our talents into key leadership positions.”

The renewed team will play a key role in fostering closer working relationships with the local forwarder community as well as the key global forwarders with a UAE presence, and providing a seamless and more efficient commercial approach for the local perishables traders such as flowers and meat importers, as well as key government-affiliated industrial and services institutions. In the coming weeks, Etihad Cargo will also be announcing further enhancements and updates to its global customer and loyalty programmes led by Haleema.
