Martin Bencher delivers pulling rig to Nigeria
Logistics firm Martin Bencher has transported a pulling rig system from France to Nigeria. The over-dimensional cargo was moved from the manufacturer’s site in France to port by road, and then loaded aboard a multipurpose vessel using on-deck Liebherr cranes.
March 22, 2018: Logistics firm Martin Bencher has transported a pulling rig system from France to Nigeria.
The over-dimensional cargo was moved from the manufacturer’s site in France to port by road, and then loaded aboard a multipurpose vessel using on-deck Liebherr cranes. It was destined for a floating production storage and offloading unit in offshore Nigeria.
“The material shipped was a pulling riser system made in France. The cargo was two inches, weighing 82.5 tonnes each, and two trolleys, weighing 63.5 tonnes each,” a spokesperson for Martin Bencher said.
Scandinavia-based shipping and freight forwarding company, Martin Bencher Group was originally founded in the UK, and handles breakbulk for paper mills, power plants, wind turbines and luxury yachts as well as varied oil and gas projects.
