Mar 13, 2019: Unilode, a global provider of outsourced unit load device (ULD) management and repair solutions, and PalNet, one of the leading ULD manufacturers, have jointly developed an integrated digital solution for all types of PalNet pallets. The integrated solution minimises the risk of damage or loss of the digital tag and does not obstruct daily operations or interfere with pallet stacking.

Unilode's digital technology based on bluetooth low energy (BLE) 5, enables ULD tracking and measurement of temperature and shock. The solution will be introduced to Unilode's entire ULD fleet, starting Q2 2019, and is also available for non-Unilode customers. All existing PalNet pallets, including heavy-duty pallets, can be retrofitted with the integrated digital solution. Pallets can also be acquired ex-works with a pre-installed tag.

Klaus Demtroder, PalNet CEO, said, "We are pleased to have developed an integrated digital solution for Unilode's digital transformation programme, which is available for our entire pallet portfolio. The cooperation between PalNet and Unilode is the testament to a long and trusted partnership. We are pleased to be able to offer a product jointly with Unilode that meets our high-quality standard and does not impair with our requirements from an engineering perspective."
