It took a while for the International Air Transport Association (IATA) to appoint a global head of cargo as Glyn Hughes decided to leave the post right in the midst of a global pandemic. The pandemic devastated the passenger side of the aviation industry but the cargo business was and continues to be in the spotlight. The industry expected IATA to have a strong leader picked for the top cargo job at the apex airline industry association as quickly as possible. Young, vibrant and bright Brendan Sullivan was appointed only recently to the position.
