Aug 24, 2018: Air Algerie has taken redelivery of its first B737-800 P2F from STAECO in Jinan, China. The airline currently operates two B737-700s as well as a Lockheed Hercules for its dedicated cargo needs.

In another development, the Algerian national carrier has announced plans to launch three times weekly B737-800 services from Algiers to both Libreville and Douala on December 2 and 3, respectively, marking its debut in the Central African market. In West Africa, Air Algerie already operates to Abidjan, Bamako, Dakar Blaise Diagne International, Niamey, Nouakchott and Ouagadougou.
