Astral Aerial Solutions receives ROC approval from KCAA

Astral Aerial Solutions has become the first drone operator to receive RPAS Operator's Certificate (RoC) from Kenya Civil Aviation Authority for commercial drone operations.

At the Vaccine Logistics Virtual Summit organised by Logistics Update Africa, the company has revealed the plan of conducting pilot run of cargo drones for Covid-19 vaccines in Africa.

March 18, 2021: Astral Aerial Solutions has become the first drone operator in Kenya to receive RPAS Operator's Certificate (RoC) from Kenya Civil Aviation Authority for commercial drone operations.

At the Vaccine Logistics Virtual Summit organised by Logistics Update Africa on February 25, the Nairobi-based company’s CEO and founder Sanjeev Gadhia revealed the plan of conducting pilot run of cargo drones for Covid-19 vaccines in Africa. The company is working with vaccine and drone manufacturers, to deploy the drones.

Last year in July, Astral Aerial Solutions collaborated with Wingcopter for last mile delivery solutions. In September, Drone Delivery Canada (DDC) in association with its sales agent Air Canada executed a letter of intent (LoI), with Astral Aerial Solutions.
