Cabo Verde Airlines to connect Lagos, Luanda, Porto Alegre, Washington from Dec

Effective December 9, Cabo Verde Airlines, a Cape Verdean airline, will start flying to Lagos, Nigeria.

The new route strengthens the company's operations within the African continent, as well as the connection between Africa and Europe and North and South America as part of its mission to connect these four continents.

August 20, 2019: Effective December 9, Cabo Verde Airlines, a Cape Verdean airline, will start flying to Lagos, Nigeria. Recently, the airlines' has even announced flights to Luanda, Angola from December 9; Porto Alegre, Brazil; and Washington DC, the US from December 11. 

The connection between Amilcar Cabral International Airport, Cabo Verde and Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos will be operated five times a week - Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, with a B757. All flights will connect to Sal Island, the airlines' international hub, and will make connections to Lisbon (five times a week), Washington DC (three times a week) and Boston (once a week), as well as to the airlines' destinations in Brazil - Salvador, Porto Alegre, Recife and Fortaleza. 

The new route strengthens the company's operations within the African continent, as well as the connection between Africa and Europe and North and South America as part of its mission to connect these four continents.

The airlines' international network also includes Dakar (Senegal), Lisbon (Portugal), Milan and Rome (Italy), and Paris (France). 

In March, Icelandair Group has acquired a 51 percent stake in Cabo Verde Airlines, previously known as TACV, through its leasing arm Loftleidir.
