Emirates to resume Abuja service from Sep 9; begins Lagos, Accra, Abidjan flights

Starting September 9, Emirates will resume passenger services to Abuja in Nigeria.

Emirates has also resumed flights to Accra, Ghana and Abidjan, Ivory Coast from September 6.

September 08, 2020: Starting September 9, Emirates will resume passenger services to Abuja in Nigeria. Lagos route has been restored on September 7. The resumption of flights to both Nigerian cities takes Emirates’ African network to 13 destinations. This will also take the airline's passenger network to 81 destinations in September.

Flights to Lagos will operate four times a week on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. Flights to/from Abuja will operate as a daily service. 

The news follows Qatar Airways restoring its service to Lagos from September 10. 

The airline has also resumed flights to Accra, Ghana and Abidjan, Ivory Coast from September 6. Flights from Dubai to Accra and Abidjan will be linked services, operating three times a week. The flights will be operated with a B777-300ER.

Meanwhile, Emirates plans to operate two repartition flights for stranded Moroccans around the globe to get home, between Dubai and Casablanca on September 8 and 9.
