RwandAir to upgrade capacity on Kigali, Harare, Cape Town route

Rwanda’s national airline, will be upgrading capacity on its flights between Kigali, Harare and Cape Town .

Capacity expansion are considered to be in the making next year, when RwandAir will take delivery of additional aircraft.

Dec 03, 3018: RwandAir, Rwanda’s national airline, will be upgrading capacity on its flights between Kigali, Harare and Cape Town from December 28, 2018 to January 14, 2019.

Currently, the route operated with a Boeing B738 with four flights a week, during this period will see an Airbus A330 deployed, which adds substantially more seats on the route.

RwandAir has traffic rights between Harare and Cape Town and both travel between South Africa and Zimbabwe. Rwanda, Zimbabwe and South Africa routes have seen an upshift in demand since the initial launch of the route with a CRJ900 and only three flights a week.

Further capacity expansion are considered to be in the making next year, when RwandAir will take delivery of additional aircraft, allowing them to boost both flight frequencies and launch new destinations.
