Red Sea Ports Authority handled 10 vessels and 13,000 tonnes of cargo on August 9, along with 666 trucks, 102 cars and 1,257 passengers.
Maritime traffic at ports operated by the Red Sea Ports Authority reached 10 vessels on Sunday, August 9, 2026, with the ports handling 13,000 tonnes of cargo, according to a statement from Egypt's State Information Service (SIS).
The authority said five vessels carrying 6,000 tonnes of cargo were involved in import activity, along with 354 trucks and 91 cars. Export activity involved another five vessels carrying 7,000 tonnes of cargo, 312 trucks and 11 cars.
At Safaga Port, the vessels Alcudia Express and Bridge arrived, while Pelagos Express and Al-Horreya 2 departed, according to the authority.
Nuweiba Port handled 4,400 tonnes of cargo and 237 trucks through shuttle operations involving three vessels — Al-Hussein, Sina and Aila.
The authority's ports also recorded the arrival and departure of 1,257 passengers during the period.
The latest figures provide a snapshot of vessel and cargo activity across Egypt's Red Sea port network, covering both import and export movements as well as passenger and road-freight traffic.
