Astral Aviation transports oxygen concentrator from Liege to Ghana

Astral Aviation carried an oxygen concentrator for delivery to a hospital in Accra, Ghana. The B747-400 departed from Liege Airport in Belgium.

The World Food Programme established one of its Humanitarian Response Hubs for the global Covid-19 response at Liege Airport in April.

August 20, 2020: On behalf of the World Health Organization, Astral Aviation carried an oxygen concentrator for delivery to a hospital in Accra, Ghana. The B747-400 departed from Liege Airport in Belgium. 

The World Food Programme (WFP) established one of its Humanitarian Response Hubs for the global Covid-19 response at Liege Airport in April and since then has moved critical health and medical supplies from the hub, including masks, gloves, ventilators, testing kits and thermometers, to destinations around the world.

WFP logistics hubs include Liege, Dubai, China, Ethiopia, Ghana, Malaysia, Panama, South Africa, and Italy.
